First let me start by saying my name is Heather Anderson and I am 26 years old. I pride myself in my ability to educate students and help them grow. I like to interact with my students on a one to one basis and provide plenty oppurtunities for questioning. I am interested in working with students online as well as in person. I have a flexible schedule and would be willing to accomodate your personal needs. I have 1 year of tutoring experience and 2 years of teaching experience. I have worked tutoring children in third grade preparing them for the TAKS Test. I have always been very strong in Mathematics and I feel very comfortable working with others in math in order to improve their skills. I also am very comfortable with science and feel very strong in science areas. I myself excelled in these subject and I am confident that I can help others succeed as well. I have been a Math/Science teacher for 2 years now. I work with elementary age students but I would be interested in working with students from elementary through college age. I have taught summer school as well furthering my teaching experience. I have my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction which will help me to further adress any need that students may need in specific areas. I have been working with children for the past 5 years, whether it was helping children with their homework needs after school at day care or substituting for all grade levels and subjects. I am very patient and willing to work with students with special needs. I recieved my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology so I understand students with Learning Disorders along with many other special needs. I can also work with students who need help preparing for the SAT or GRE test.
