I offer private tutoring sessions grade school through college. I tutor SAT/ACT/PSAT preparation, Mathematics (thru trigonometry and pre-calculus),Chemistry and Statistics. My misson is to help students overcome their learning obstacles through guidance, patience, caring and humor. I help students improve their grades, raise their test scores, learn productive study skills, build their academic self confidence, and reach their full potential.

Students process information in different ways, and I taylor my lessons my lesssons to acccomadate each student's individual learning challenges. My sessions are one on one, and we meet in a mutually convenient place like a school or library.

I have been tutoring for twenty years, hold a B.A. from The University of Washington, and have many references.

I started tutoring in sixth grade tutoring a neighborhood boy in math, than in high school I helped other students to pass pre-calulus and I taught remedial math to students at Lewis&Clark High School. In High School I had a 3.91 g.p.a with straight A's in math and science. In

College I worked with four year olds at a day care center, and studied physics, chemistry, math and humanities. I especially enjoyed organic chemistry and biochemistry, and after I graduated I tutored math an science. More recently I have volunteered at Crosswalk- a school for street kids in Spokane. They were not so interested in academics, but I did help some students with math. We also did some creative writing which the kids warmed up to. I worked there for 8 years.

This last year I have been working with a high school girl in integrated/core plus math in honors. She got a B+ and will be going on to pre-calculus and chemistry in the fall. Another student I am working with from Gonzaga University is in pre-nursing and he is close to an A average
