Hi:

I am a passionate teacher and love social studies. My approach is to relate the content of your studies to your every day experiences and to make it comprehensible and closer to you so that you are able to remember the concepts you learn. My strategy is to make you reflect upon your own life and to see it from a social science point of view. This way you are not only learning about the different subjects but you are also applying that knowledge to understand your self more clearly.

I am patient and dedicated to my work, often willing to go the extra mile for my students to improve their skills. I trully believe in the benefits of education, and the capacity of social science study to change people lives.

Despite being an international student at Victoria University of Wellington and studying in a second leanguage I managed to achieve an A average for the three subjects that I majored in. This is because I come from a long tradition of effective study routines and I am very passionate about everything I do.
in fact one of my specialties is teaching university preparation and university study skills. I can provide you with easy to follow formulas to write essays and read academic articles in from a critical perspective.

My spetialties within Anthropology involve basic anthropological concepts, ritual and gifting, migration studies and material culture. However I am happy to be engaged with other topics.

In the past two years I have taught more than 100 students and I often received good comments from them and they keep in touch with me once the course is finish. I believe in generating a close relationship between students and tutors so that we can both learn from each other.
