I have over four years of experience tutoring students in multiple subject areas.  I adapt my teaching style to each student and his or her situation.  Every student learns in a different way, so that is always the first place that I look to determine how I will teach.  Visual learners process information different from verbal learners, so it is important to figure out the most effective way to teach each student.  I adapt my teaching style and lessons to the student because my goal is to help the student learn in a way that is enjoyable for him or her.  I also base my teaching style on the reason for the tutoring.  If the tutoring is for a specific test, I prioritize the teaching to the specific material to be covered on the test in a way that appeals to the student.  Contrastingly, if the tutoring is more for interest in between school years, I gear the teaching towards the student's individual interests and goals.  In any case, the information, as well as the way it is taught, is geared towards the student and his or her needs.  I always strive to make the tutoring fun and enjoyable for the student because I love tutoring.  Learning is such an important part of life.  I continue to learn through various classes and any other option that I can find because new information is discovered every day.  This allows me to always have to most up-to-date knowledge to teach my students.  With new students, I love to have a brief consultation to see what they would like to get out of the tutoring and show them how I like to teach.  The tutoring in ultimately about the student, so I am very adaptive and willing to put in as much time as I need to prepare the tutoring sessions.
