I am not a certified teacher.  My title is Paraeducator.  I am a teachers assistant with 10 years of experience.  I have taken the State test for math, reading and writing.  I have earned many certificates for the workshops that I have attended to learn what I know to help children to succeed in school

I have worked for 10 years helping 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders to learn their letters, letter sounds, high frequency words, how to read books at their level.  I have also worked helping 1st, 2nd, 3rd graders to learn primary math.  I worked for 5 years in the Primary Intervention Program in a grade school, in the Reading and Math Center for 2 years and now I have worked for 2 years helping Special Education students and Resource Students in an elementary school.  I help with simple math problems starting with addition, then subtraction up to the multiplication tables.  I help students with penmanship and cursive writing.  I help students learning their letters, sounds up to simple reading, depending on the level  that they should be reading.  

I love working with students in the elementary school, mostly in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade or 4th grade, if they are behind and need to catch up..  I feel that we develop a great learning relationship and great friendship.

I would love to work with your child and help them to catch up in any area necessary to have a feeling of accomplishment and fullmentment that they need to succeed in life.

This is my first time at tutoring, but my tutoring style would be to test the child first, to see what their strengths are and what they need to work on.  Then we would start working in those areas.  It would depend on if they need help in math, reading or writing or more than one.  We would cover as much as possible to get them up to the level they need to be for their grade.   I feel that I have the experience to help your child in any of these areas that they need help.
