Hello. My name is Nina and I am Russian. I graduated from Private Petra University with a Bachelor's degree in Arabic language and literature in 2009. During the 5 years that I spent in the Middle East I gained a valuable experience not only in Arabic language and literature but also in Arabic history, traditions and religion. In May 2010 I got my Graduate Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language from American University.

I am looking forward to working as an Arabic and English as a Second Language tutor. My qualifications are based on a combination of practical experience as a K-12 English teacher, tutor, and volunteer teaching assistant at Arlington Education and Employment Program and theoretical knowledge that I acquired during my studies in Jordan and the States.

I am mostly experienced in working with adults, but I feel comfortable working with children as well.

I am a proficient non-native speaker of Arabic. I have got a Bachelor's Degree in Arabic language and literature. My Arabic proficiency was further reinforced by my working as a manager at the Iraqi company where I had to use Arabic as a means of communication with people with different Arabic dialects. I am fluent in both colloquial and standard spoken and written Arabic. 

I am a proficient non-native speaker of English with years of teaching experience and a Graduate Teaching Certificate from American University in Washington, DC. In the States I have been working as a volunteer teaching assistant since September 2009. I gained valuable experience working with adult immigrants for whom English is a means of survival. I understand their needs and know what skills they need to become active members of the American society.

As a native Russian speaker, I can help my students develop their speaking skills in Russian.
