My goal as a tutor is to foster proficiency and confidence in the students I mentor. My lessons are individually tailored to the needs of each student, using methods which correspond to his or her unique learning style. For example, in math I may illustrate a concept by drawing a picutre for one student, use counters with another, and for a different student focus more on writing an outline. I hope to create students who are knowledgeable and confident enough in subjects with which they once struggled to succeed on their own. I'm an experienced tutor who has worked with a wide range of age groups and skill levels. I've taught math from kindergarten through 10th grade and have also worked with kindergartners who are just beginning to read as well as adults who need help with the finer points of critical reading. My rate is a reasonable $12 per hour for quality tutoring which will help you or your child become more competent and confident in whatever subject matter you choose.
