Strangely enough, at the time of this submission I had never before tutored for a fee. Nevertheless, I have taught and tutored many people in a wide variety of academic and vocational disciplines. Before going back to school in 1992 for four years as a full time nontraditional student, I taught for approximately six years as a provisionally certified teacher of Aviation Maintenance Technology. During my years in college, I acquired a BA in philosophy, cum laude, and over 60 credit hours in graduate studies, achieving a cummulative average of 3.9+ (Dean's List). While studying for my undergraduate degree, I tutored fellow students in various subject areas, as well as tutoring international students in conversational English. During my graduate level studies, I tutored numerous students in philosophy, writing, Koine Greek, and theology. Needless to say, my overall studies in philosophy and theology required an enormous amount of reading and writing, and that has well prepared me to help others improve and master their reading, reading comprehension, critical reasoning, basic English, and writing skills. I believe that each student is unique and that every student is capable of learning. My approach to learning is centered by a belief in a practical, hands-on learn to read by reading, learn to reason by reasoning, and learn to write by writing strategy. Because of this, I favor a personal one-on-one, in person, approach to tutoring. I am confident that I can help any motivated student, regardless of their academic history or level, grow in their intellectual skills. All prospective students of mine can rest assured that I will do my utmost to facilitate their learning and, thus, enhance their lives.
