Before moving to California I was a Political Science major at the University of Texas - Pan American. My husband is in the Navy and we are stationed in San Diego for the next year. I believe I am best suited for tutoring English/Reading/Writing to students in 6th-10th grade.
CERTIFICATION:
I took part in the Ready, Set, Teach! program which teaches child development and teaching methods. Completion of this course certified me as a substitute teacher within the Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District in Edinburg, Texas. EXPERIENCE:
During the 2008-2009 school year I worked as an English tutor for the GEAR UP program at Economedes High School in Edinburg, Texas. OTHER:
I work as an online researcher so I am very familiar with the Internet and search engines. I can teach these skills alongside other subjects or alone. Knowing how to research a topic is absolutely necessary now that most school work is done online.
