I tutor students one on one or a group of 4 maximum. Whenever I meet a student, I always get a feedback from the student as to what level the student is with regards to the subject matter that the student wants help with. For example, if the student wants tutoring with maths I try to find out what area of the math is giving the student problem. Whether it is algebra, trigonometry, etc. I enquire from the student how my hours spend during the week on each course that the student have. I make a study schedule for the student so that the student can have some structure to work from. After which, I ask the student to work a few problems for me and then I evaluate them and see the areas that the student is having problems with and instruct the student how to overcome those obstacle.
