I have been tutoring elementary and middle school students for many years now. I believe in guiding a student and teaching them the important skills they will need to succeed in reading or math in grades 1-5. Sometimes students just need a guide and this in turn boasts their self-esteem. I have been hired to teach reading to students who needed extra help and support in preparation for the FCAT at the elementary school level and one on one. Every student has their own unique way of learning. Some students are visual learners, or auditory learners, and others are both. It is my job to work with each student to figure out what works for them and I tutor accordingly. I enjoy tutoring and I try to make it fun and interesting for each student. I have also taught typing to elementary school students in grades K-5.
