I am going to become a sophomore in college this coming fall. I have completed one full year of Chinese language studies, and have just returned from China, after a three week stay. I held tutoring sessions for fellow students in my elementary Chinese course. I will be able to teach a beginner the necessary Pin-Yin reading skills necessary to begin learning the language. I am also able to properly teach the new spoken tones, and sounds which are necessary for fluency in Chinese. I will offer challenging, and creative assignments that will help students grow comfortable with the spoken and written language. A few weeks of tutoring, and come September you will be head and shoulders above any other student in your class. I am a native English speaker, and have developed an understanding of the language, that will be more helpful than learning from a native speaker of Chinese.
