I tend to focus my efforts to prepare middle/ high school students for college, although I'm happy to tutor other college students on courses I have previously taken. K-12 systems in this country focus on many things that form bad habits and completely omit other things that are desperately necessary for success in college. I find that I can offer a new perspective on the relevance of what my students study to their lives. I especially enjoy linking many subjects together as I find learning to be more effective with increased ties to already learned information. I focus less on earned grades, and more upon acquired knowledge. I specialize in identifying where the generic approach of public school classrooms don't fit individual students learning styles. Above all I can revive excitement in my students for the subjects I teach.
