The most important part of teaching or tutoring any person is to find out how they need to learn. What I mean by this is, some children learn by hands-on activities, some learn by listening, some by seeing it done, and others just need to have the subject matter related to their everyday lives. I have had experience with tutoring all of these types of students. I have also worked with a special needs child and teens that speak English as a second language. Once I find out which method is most effective for a child or teenager learn, then I can focus on the ciriculum and have them learning at maximum potential.
