cynthia's Professional Information

I have been a credentialed teacher for over 25 years in elementary,middle school, high school, and college. I am presently a doctoral candidate in Education and Literacy with a focus on K-12.

 My expertise areas are: Reading, phonics, reading comprehension,science, pre-med,SAT, RICA, CBEST, English grammar, writing skills, essays, editing Masters Theses,and Special Needs students.

I have much experience with the SAT, GED, GRE, ISSE, and some of my students have gained over 300 points with my proven methods. I have received two fellowships in Education.

 I have a Bachelors Degree in English/Biology, a Masters degree in Special Education and a second Masters in Counseling. I am presently writing my Dissertation about literacy skills for at-risk students. I am kind, dedicated, reliable, sincere, caring, and I want the best for my students. I have taught many different kinds of students from ADD, CP, Autistic, LD, and Gifted. I have a second credential as a Learning Specialist.

I teach using kinesthetic, multi-modal methods. I have received rewards for teaching including the Cambridge Honorary Award for Professional Women and one from the California Teachers Association. I love teaching and helping others reach their potential. I have been the Director of two learning centers.

I have taught many at-risk students who were in danger of dropping out of school.  I believe that everyone, if given a chance, can succeed in life. I believe in the goodness of others and I am a spiritual person who wants to make a difference in other peoples' lives. I have written over 200 essays in the past two years in my Doctoral program.  Writing and editing are some of my specialties.  I love to teach all the sciences, literature, English, and reading. I have 2 cats and 2 rabbits that I have adopted.

I have taught grades K-8, high school, college, juvenile deliquents, the gifted, adults,elderly, the handicapped (physically and mentally). I have great compassion for the handicapped, since I am also handicapped.  I feel strongly that we should be given all the opportunities of non-handicapped people.  I am willing to help anyone, as long as they want to be helped.  I believe that my teaching methods help increase self-esteem, motivation, and the courage to succeed educationally and in life.

To The Parents that  this may concern;

I would like to strongly recommend Miss Cynthia Nedvecki to tutor any age child in need of assistance.

She tutored my son through most classes in High School and taught him how to study, get himself organized, and to learn. Cynthia was directly responsible for bringing up my son's grades substantially.  He now attends Palomar College and aspires to become a nurse practitioner.

Cynthia works very hard. She knows her academics, and how to apply them personally and concisely to your child’s needs. Her standards of homework and classwork are very high.  She kept excellent track of how my son was doing in his courses, and often made him redo essays (his weak point).  Now, my son can organize, write, and present a good paper.

Cynthia will work well with your child; she is personable, creative, and age-appropriate humorous.

It is without reservation, that I recommend Cynthia Nedvecki as a tutor/mentor for your child's learning enrichment. I have recommended her to quite a few of my patients in my own private practice.

Please don't hesitate to call me if you have any questions.
