I have an MBA in Finance from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.  At USC, I was teaching assitant, recipient of the Flour Corporation Endowed Student Scholarship and Vice President of International Affairs in the graduate business school student government.  For over 5 years I have worked for a technology company as Director of Financial Operations.  In this position, I have held overall authority for the financial operations of the organization including Financial Statements Preparation, Budget Preparation and Administration, Variance Analysis, Costing, Monthly Closing of Books of Record, Account and Subsidiary Ledger Reconciliation and Financial Reporting.  I specialize in building integrated Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow models from the ground up, running simulations and performing breakeven and profitability analysis.

I have an excellent grasp of accounting and a natural gift as a teacher.  My teaching philosophy is to ensure that my students gain a thorough understanding of the fundamentals of accounting on which we can then build the academic requirements of the accounting coursework.  I offer only one-on-one sessions as I believe that a face-to-face interaction is crucial to developing a teaching plan that is customized to each student.  My educational background and work experience allow me to bring real world experiences to the student.  I am equally comfortable in offering tutoring plans over the entire length of the course or as short-term lesson plans a few weeks before an exam.  Most of all, my objective is to make learning accounting a fun experience for the student.
