 Dear learners,

It is my belief that you cannot truly master something until you can teach to others.

Thus, I view tutoring as an essential component of the learning process and  I always enjoy the rewarding feeling from helping my peers learn.

I enjoy tutoring  students and helping them build confidence in their ability to achieve, both academically and socially. 

I always explore the individual learning  needs of students, I support them so that they can develop their individual learning style. I give my students precise instructions on what methods and ways of learning they should use, on resources they should use in their learning and on clear standards which learning outcomes should fit to.

I prefer to demonstrate practical examples, visual aids, talk and write resources for them, (summaries, extracts). I develop the environment and encourage students to communicate  and collaborate, share learning resources, send and get evaluative feedback and discuss on relevant topics.

As I've been working as a self-employed tutor for many years apart from teaching at a private school, I help students with learning disabilities  to master subjects and study skills, prepare for and maximize scores on standardized college admissions tests, such as SAT, GRE, TOEFL,ECCE, ECPE, FCE,PET, KET   and many others. Using strategic tutoring to help a child not only to improve his or her grades on assignments, quizzes and tests but also teach him or her how to master the skills necessary to learn the subject  on his or her own.

I hold a degree in Applied Foreign Languages and I'm educated and trained in my subject matter and also in strategic tutoring methods, having attended several seminars and teacher training programms, such as  teaching very young learners, teaching exam preparation classes and others provided by the Hellenic American Union. 

I can not only change the way a learner approaches learning, but actually I have the means to bring out the very best in them.
