I graduated from Vanderbilt University over 4 years ago with a bachelor's degree in mathematics and currently work in consulting as an actuary. When I was in college, I tutored math at all levels for all 4 years and was a teaching assistant for a statistics course. Once I graduated, I worked full time at a small tutoring company in the Washington, D.C. area for a year and I have since continued to tutor full time in addition to working as an actuary.

I've been tutoring all levels of math for over 8 years, and have worked with students anywhere from the 4th grade to adults returning to school. I can help you with Pre-algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Statistics, SAT math, ACT math, GRE math, GMAT math, and almost any other area of math you may need help with. I've always seen excellent results with my students and can explain the material in a way that makes sense to them. I tailor each lesson to fit each student's particular need and observe their work and thought processes in order to use the most effective teaching strategies. Whether your student needs consistent help with homework problems or is just preparing for a big test, I can help.

My rate is $40/hour for one student, and $60/hour for 2 students, and $75/hour for 3 or more students. I can come to your home or meet you at a public library, but I would prefer to meet first at a public library for both my comfort and yours. I live in Addison, but I'm willing to travel to most suburbs and areas in the DFW metroplex. Any locations further than 15 miles from home will be subject to a $10 increase in rate.
