My schooling includes a Master’s Degree in Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics at Adelphi University. Through these studies I have gained the knowledge and experience of who I am as a teacher. In my teaching philosophy, I believe that every student, no matter what level of cognitive ability, has a fair chance to learn. Together, with my proficiency in technology and mastery of mathematics, I am able to make this possible for all of my students. My enthusiasm for education and dynamic teaching skills are what set my teaching style apart from other educators.

As of the 2009-2010 school year, I held a leave replacement position as a Middle School Math teacher for St. Peter of Alcantara School in Port Washington. It is at St. Peter’s where I was able to implement my teaching philosophy each and every day. My style of instruction is very unique. It is for this reason that my students have come to excel in and love mathematics as much as I do. My dedication and passion for education makes a difference in each of my students’ lives.

Concerning my related experiences, I was also an Intervention Assistant at Woodland Middle School in East Meadow. It is there where I undertook a position with students who have special needs. As an IA, I assisted students with disabilities to provide support and maintain interventional strategies based on the student’s IEP. Another position I hold is that of a math tutor. This responsibility has allowed me to develop superior interpersonal skills in a one-on-one relationship with my student.

I am looking forward in making a difference in a student's life because he/she has the right to learn, as i have the duty to teach.
