Hi!

I am a hardworking college student with a passion for creativity and working to teach children of all ages. I believe that instilling the love of learning and the drive to succeed academically and artistically is the most rewarding and fulfilling experience one could ask for. Most of my childcare and tutoring experience has been gained over the past six years working as a part-time english tutor at the San Jose Public library, and an independent art instructor throughout the Bay Area. I have also worked as an ESL tutor through the Reading Partners at Horace Mann Elementary School, an art camp counselor, a day-care assistant, and a teachers assistant for nursery school children.

I am comfortable teaching all ages and am able to tailor lesson plans for every age group with ease and skill. I have worked with kindergarten, middle schoolers, and high school in various settings and enjoy the challenges that each age group presents! My broad variety of interests spans from English and Journalism to volunteer work, Art History and Theory, Politics and Philosophy, which makes me an educator who truly knows the value of learning and can add versatility and adaptability to her list of attributes.

As an Art Education major with a minor in Social and Cultural Analysis on leave from one of the country's most competitive and rigorous universities, I understand the pressures asked of students today. I am available for test prep such as the AP Exams in English, US History and European History and the SAT, on which I received top marks in high school. In addition, I have done work with local high school students on college application prep, essay writing, and organization - let me help you tackle the whole application process with ease and confidence! (I was there, I know what its like!)
