Tutoring was always a part of my life, even at an early age. My passion for tutoring began when I was in 6th grade, whenever my classmates would need help in math they would ask me to help them understand and solve math problems. This became a routine that I found to be very satisfactory and enjoyable. This led me to consider a career as a teacher, however computers and technology, which is my other passion led me to pursue a degree in Computer and Information Science. While working for my degree I had the opportunity to go back to tutor. It all started when a friend approached me and ask me if I could tutor her grand daughter whom at the time was struggling at school due to her limited English. Working with this girl made me feel very empowering and awoke the passion of tutoring. The results achieved by this student did not go unnoticed, in a very short time more students requested my services based on good recommendations. 

As my student base grew, my passion in tutoring and commitment to my students grew. Additionally, the subjects I taught also grew, besides math and homework help, reading, writing, computer technology and Spanish were added to the subjects offered. The subject that presented a challenge in the beginning was Spanish, this became more evident when teaching adults. Despite the initial challenges presented by this particular subject, it ended up becoming one of the subjects I enjoy the most because most of the time, when learning Spanish students do not feel the pressure and stress that is present when they learn other subjects. Most students find learning a new language fun.

After tutoring so many students I realized that every single student is different, and that they learn in different ways. My experience as a tutor has also showed me that the best teaching method is to adapt to the learning abilities of each student. My teaching approach is very simple: instead of following an specific tutoring method for all students, I try to determine what method is more efficient for every single student. Constant adaptation to the need of a particular student is the key to make them succeed, since every student learns and assimilates information in different ways. 

My goal is to provide my students with the necessary tools to achieve their objectives. My students become my number one priority and they can always count on a tutor whom cares, is flexible, and considers his students' successes his own.
