My name is Alyssa and I am a graduate of the University of Evansville. My Bachelor's degree is in Music Education, grades Kindergarten-12th grade. I have extensive experience in the classroom as an intern and a student teacher at all levels. My forte is in vocal performance, but I am also qualified to teach piano, guitar, and recorder. I have strong public speaking and communication skills and enjoy writing and reading. I also have a minor in Business. I am currently working in Marketing and Promotions at a local company.

In my music career, I have prepared and sung 2 complete, hour-long classical recitals, including researching songs and composers. I have experience in the inner workings of the vocal mechanisms and continue to study new theories of vocal production. I am classically trained and my personal focus is opera. I also have experience teaching and singing jazz, barbershop, pop, and musical theatre. I am also experiened in music theory, music history, and music literature. I am currently accepting students at all levels!

I also have a passion for writing and reading. I love to write research papers and proofread! I also have strong skills in history and social studies. As a business minor, I also can help with writing resumes, marketing plans, business plans and any other documents.

As an undergraduate student, I spent an entire semester living in England. I love experiencing new cultures and studying other peoples ways of living. In college, I also took two semesters of World Cultures (with a focus on literature of other cultures), and sociology and psychology.

My teaching style is very hands on. I love working one-on-one and prefer meeting and working in person. I am willing to do tutoring sessions and lessons in any amount of time. For voice students, I prefer to teach in 30 minute increments for beginning students and increasing the length of time for older students.
