I have been tutoring for the past four years, I began as a junior in high school tutoring middle school students in English and Math. Ever since then I have enjoyed working with students so much that I am now pursuing a degree in English and Secondary Education.

I have experience working with a wide range of students who come from various backgrounds. I have worked with students with dyslexia as well as ADD. I am very patient and always willing to work at the students selected pace.

I never want to make a student feel pressured or uncomfortable when approaching a subject that is difficult for them. By the end of every session I want the student to feel as though they have made significant progress in a subject area. As part of my tutoring method I allow students to choose their own agenda when addressing problem areas.

I have obtained a certificate from Cours de la Civilisation de la Sorbonne (an educational institution in Paris) certifying my advanced proficiency in French Language. I have been speaking french for 14 years and lived in Paris for 6 months. I consider myself bilingual.

As an English Major, I frequently tutor peers at my university in essay writing. I am very dedicated to my own writing, and a lot of the methods I use myself, I use also with my students. 

I have experience tutoring students in basic math and algebra. 

I have a significant amount of experience working with students and I have worked as a teacher's assistant. In 2009, I received a scholarship award from my university for outstanding work with students at a local high school. I have also been involved with students in my community as a cheerleading coach, and have even offered tutoring to some of those students after school.
