I have tutored students from junior high school to college. I have taught and still teach college math and physics. My teaching methods work because I had the same problems my tutoring students have now. I understand their frustratiion and make sure they succeed  and increase their confidence. I have written physics workbooks for problem solving and my students love them and use them.

I started teaching in night school at UMASS when I was 26. I needed the work and they needed a math and physics teacher. I really enjoyed that experience but really wanted to run my own business. I was lucky enough to start in electronics at the right time. My degrees in math and finance allowed me to buy my first company early in my career. I enjoyed working in business but wanted to get back to teaching after being successful. I'm not sure why but I wanted to get back in the classroom and teach. I succeeded in getting back into teacing after selling my company. It's kind of funny that I teach math and physics but have not taught business or finance. I have never been happier since being back in the classroom and tutoring students

I have a BS in Engineering, Masters in Mathematics and MBA in Finance. I was in business owning my own company for 20 years.  I had 200 employees with offices nation wide. So why do I tutor and teach in college? It's time fior me to pay back for all the good fortune I have had. I have not just worked in academia but also in the real world. It does make a difference.

My students have commented that I should teach other teachers how to teach. That was particularily heart warming.
