TUTORING SERVICES OFFERED:

As a former high school teacher and soon-to-be medical student at UCSD, my specialty is the sciences, but I can also tutor for Japanese language classes.

Standardized Tests:
I offer tutoring for the SAT I and MCAT, as well as for the AP and SAT II subject tests in physics, chemistry, calculus, and biology.

COMPENSATION:

$35/hour for tutoring on the UCSD campus. I am also willing to come to you, but due to the time and expense of travel , I ask $40/ hour for off-site locations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

I have three years of high-school classroom teaching experience and over 300 hours of one-on-one tutoring experience.

I earned a B.A. in Economics and completed rigorous science training during a post-baccalaureate premedical program at The Claremont Colleges.

I was recently accepted to UCSD medical school, one of the most selective medical schools in the country (e.g. UCSD Med is harder to get into than #1 ranked Yale Law AND #1 ranked Harvard Business school).

I scored in the 99th percentile on the SAT and the 96th percentile on the MCAT, widely regarded as the most difficult standardized test administered anywhere. This is not to boast, but rather to demonstrate that I have personal experience studying for and scoring well on standardized tests.
