I am a certified Substitute Teacher in Miami Dade County. I have an Associates degree in Accounting. I have been tutoring kids of all ages for several years now and have observed that a specific teaching method does not work with all students. One must vary their teaching methods so that if someone did not understand something very well at first, they can understand it better the second time. It is an art trying to find the way that the student learns best, but once it is found, the student's grades improve and their self esteem increases because he/she sees that they are smarter than they thought.

I prefer to teach online, but if necessary, meeting in person at a public library can be arranged. The student will show me what they are having problems with, and I will cover the subject until he/she understands the concept. I use several teaching methods to make sure they understand and then give them practice excersizes so that they feel comfortable with the material covered. Once they feel like they understand one specific concept, they I will continue to the next one. Sometimes, teachers in school try to cover much material and if a student did not understand a lesson, he/she will automatically fall behind because unfortunately, teachers do not have the time to give all of their students personal attention. Therefore, I welcome any question the student has so that they can fully comprehend the material. I guarantee that I will put forth maximum effort in helping the students.

The tutoring prices for the younger students are the least expensive, and as the kids get older and the subjects get more difficult, the prices increase. I try to take advantage of every minute I have with the students, because I know that a great majority of us are affected by the economic crisis and people deserve to get the most out of their money.
