I am a graduate of the University of Chicago with a degree in theoretical mathematics. The University of Chicago has one of the top five mathematics departments in the nation and is top ten in the world so you can be confident that I know my subject very well. I have been tutoring for the past 6 years and my students have been very successful.

I am capable of tutoring students in all levels of mathematics, from algebra through upper level undergraduate and beginning graduate mathematics courses. I also tutor many levels of physics, form high school physics, both standard and AP, through undergraduate physics, including quantum mechanics and general relativity. As well as those academic subjects I am available to tutor for the following standardized exams: PSAT, SAT, SAT IIs in Math and Physics, and the GRE.

My experience includes working with students that were in need of help and remedial work as well as students that had a good grasp of the material and wanted to be pushed farther than a traditional course would allow.  When meeting with a student for the first time I make an effort to learn what kind of learning style my student has and tailor my teaching style to make it most effective. I have been told by many of my students that I have the ability to make difficult to understand mathematical and physical concepts easy to understand.

While at the University of Chicago I took courses in physics including quantum mechanics and general relativity. If you have a child that needs help with his/her class or wants to go farther in the material than the class will allow you should consider hiring me to work with your child.
